فَقَوْتُ أَثَرَهُ or إِثْرَهُ I followed his track, or footsteps; i. q. قَفَوْتُهُ; (Ḳ, TA;) mentioned by Yaạḳoob among the words formed by transposition: so in the M. (TA.)
فَقْوٌ
فَقْوٌ: see its syn. فَقْءٌ, in art. فقأ.
فُقْوَةٌ
فُقْوَةٌ The فُوق [or notch] of the arrow; (Ṣ, Ḳ, TA;) i. e. the part which is the place of the bowstring: (TA:) [also called فُوقَةٌ, from which it is app. formed by transposition, like the other words mentioned in this art.:] pl. فُقًى, (Ṣ, Ḳ,) also written فُقًا. (TA.) An ex. of the pl. occurs in a verse cited in art. عرقب, voce عُرْقُوبٌ. (Ṣ.)
