كَهْكَبٌ and كَهْكَمٌ i. q. بَاذِنْجَانٌ [The eggplant, or melongena]. (IAạr, T, Ḳ.) Mentioned in the T in art. كهكم; whence it seems that the ب is a substitute for م. (TA.)
