لَكَأَ, aor. ـَ {يَلْكَأُ}, (Ḳ,) inf. n. لَكْءٌ, (TA,) He beat a person (Ḳ) with a whip. (TA.)

لَكَأَ بِهِ الأَرْضَ He cast him upon the ground. (AZ, Ṣ.) [See زَكَأَ, and لَتَأَ.]

لَكَأَهُ He prostrated him. (Ḳ.)

لَكَأَهُ He gave him the whole of what was due to him: (Ḳ:) like لَفَأَهُ. (T.)

لَكِئَ, aor. ـَ {يَلْكَأُ}, He stayed, dwelt, or abode, (Ḳ,) in a place: like لَكِىَ. (TA.) لكئ بِمَوْضِعٍ He kept, or remained fixed, in a place. (Ḳ,* TA.)

تلكّأ عَلَيْهِ He excused himself to him; he pleaded an excuse to him. (Ḳ.)

تلكّأ عَنْهُ He was slow to do it; delayed to do it; (Ṣ, Ḳ, TA;) excused himself, or pleaded an excuse, for not doing it; refused to do it, or abstained from doing it. (TA.)
