هزع هزل هزلج


1. ⇒ هزل

هَزْلٌ is contr. of جِدٌّ. (Ṣ, Mgh, Ḳ.) You say, هَزَلَ, aor. ـِ {يَهْزِلُ}, inf. n. هَزْلٌ; (Ṣ, Mṣb, Ḳ;) and هَزِلَ, aor. ـَ {يَهْزَلُ}, (Ḳ,) inf. n. as above; (TA;) andهَازَلَ↓; (Ḳ;) He jested, or joked; (Mṣb;) or was not serious, or in earnest; (TA;) فِى كَلاَمِهِ in his speech; (Mṣb, TA;) and فِى الأَمْرِ in the affair. (TA.)

هُزاَلٌ Leanness, meagreness, emaciation: contr. of fatness. (Ṣ, Ḳ.)


هَزْلَى

هَزْلَى, pl. of هَزِيلٌ Lean, meagre, emaciated. (Ḳ, voce خَشَبٌ.)
