وَرَلٌ
وَرَلٌ: see ضَبٌّ: there are two species: وَرَلُ البَحْرِ the ورل of the river; the monitor of the Nile; lacerta Nilotica: (see Forskål, Descr. Animalium, p. 13:) and وَرَلُ الأَرْضِ the ورل of the land; the land monitor; lacerta scincus: vulg. pronounced وَرَن.
