وَأْوَأَ, inf. n. وَأْوَأَهٌ, He (a dog) barked. (A.)

Also inf. n. وَأْوَآءٌ ([respecting the form of which see ظَأْظَأَ] in the CK and a MṢ. copy, وَأْوَأٌ) He (a jackal, اِبْنُ آوَى,) cried, or barked. (Ḳ.)
